There’s no limit to the trendy combinations you can create wearing closed toe heels with a long dress. Matching your heel colour to your dress will always work and it’ll also give you a tall, elongated look. If you choose a different coloured heel than your dress, adding accessories in the same colour as your heels will give your outfit a polished look that will draw interest to your shoes. 

Black and white heels will pair with anything, but for a more feminine look, choose heels with straps. 

All enclosed heels look amazing with tights, but to get the best look, you can play with colour. Nude tights or fishnets work with any coloured shoes, so they’re always a winner. To elongate your legs, choose tights the same colour as your shoes. 

Black tights tend to go with any coloured shoe too, but can cause a cutoff look with light-coloured heels. For a fun, alternative look, pair your tights with your skirt colour and wear tights in an opposing colour.

The most important factor is choosing the right size and a style that suits your feet. Don’t buy slender, pointed heels if you have wide feet, for instance. Regardless of how comfy your shoes are, they’re bound to give you sore feet until they’re well-broken in. 

We suggest stretching them out a bit by regularly wearing them around the house with thick socks before donning them for a full day. If wearing heels causes you pain, you can choose shorter heels or try some good-quality gel insoles.
