Comfort Heels

While most comfort heels will naturally work well with formal wear, there are some tips that will help you look extra classy. First, strappy or pointed-toe heels will look more formal than chunky box toes. 

Choose uppers with less coverage, as fully-enclosed shoes can also look less formal. Heels with a tasteful and interesting texture or feature – such as a transparent strap – will also add a classy fun element. If in doubt, you can pair your comfy heels with a floor-length gown so that only the toe is visible.

It’s fairly easy to keep white comfort heels clean with a few steps and regular care. Here’s how:

1. Gently clean off any debris with a soft shoe brush or toothbrush.
2. Use warm, soapy water and gently scrub your shoes, ensuring you get into any folds or joints. Let dry.
3. Treat with a shoe-protecting spray to prevent stains.

If the above doesn’t remove all stains, you can apply a paste made from bicarbonate of soda and water using a gentle circular motion, leave until dried to a powder, then rub the powder off. 

It’s always a good idea to match your accessory colour to your shoe colour, as this will create balance and make both items stand out. Most people think of handbags and belts when they think of colour-matching their accessories to their shoes, but there are so many more accessories you can use to make your outfit pop. 

Why not wear a matching hair adornment, jewellery, scarf or brooch? Multi-accessorising works really well when you wear coloured or white shoes and accessories with a fairly plain outfit, as it draws the eye to each of the accessories and creates interest.
